REVIEW
Starting as a series of small betting shops in 1974, bet365 launched its worldwide gaming operations in 2000 when founder Denise Coates developed her own proprietary betting platform, which stands to this day in stark contrast to what many other sports betting companies do.
That same platform still powers bet365 20 years later, and with obvious great success. It now has more than 45 million customers across the globe, takes in nearly $3 billion in annual revenue, and has offices on three different continents, including an office in New Jersey, where it first entered the U.S. market.
Now, bet365 has come to Colorado, where it brings worldwide reach, sports betting innovation, and host of options and rewards for its new Rocky Mountain customers.
BONUSES
Welcome Bonus for Colorado Bettors
It’s not as big as some of the bonus offers you’ll find on the Colorado market, but bet365 does offer customers with new accounts an incentive to sign with them. When you make your first deposit of between $10 and $100, bet365 will match the deposit in betting credits dollar-for-dollar once you place a wager.
This is how it works:
Deposit $50 into your account, then make a $50 wager. Once that wager is settled, you will be given $50 in betting credits.
Deposit $100 into your account, place a $100 wager, and once that wager is settled, you will receive $100 in betting credit.
When cashing in those betting credits, be sure to designate that you are using them to place the wager. Otherwise, you will be charged from your account. The betting credits are not automatically used by bet365.
Bonus Terms
You must claim the bonus offer within 30 days of making your first deposit. If you fail to place a qualifying bet, the bonus will be forfeited. Only bets at -500 or greater will count toward qualification.
Bet credits are not cash, and they can’t be withdrawn. But all winnings that do come from using the bet credits will go directly into your main account and can be withdrawn as cash.
If your account becomes inactive for a period of 90 days and you still have unused bet credits, they will be forfeited.
Bet365 Loyalty Program
Bet365 offers casino gaming in Europe, and its customers there are given access to a rewards program that awards points for wagers, that can then be exchanged for free bets. So far, that loyalty program has not made it to bet365’s sportsbooks, but that’s something worth watching for the future.

BET365 FEATURES
Bet365 specializes in sport-specific bonus offers and bet boosters. It’s one of the things that new customers will find most attractive about signing up for an account.
Multi-Sport Parlay Bonus: When placing parlays that involve two or more sports, customers can earn up to 70% in additional bonus winnings.
Two-Goal Lead Payout: Place a soccer bet, and as soon as your team goes up by two goals, you can cash out as a winner. It doesn’t matter if they win in the end. Any two-goal lead is enough to win the bet.
No Score Tie: Another soccer bet that gives you your money back if the match ends in a 0-0 tie. Even if you were giving goals, all 0-0 ties result in a push and the return of your bet.
Tennis Parlay Bonus: Earn up to an additional 70% in profit when you win a tennis parlay. The total amount won increases as the number of parlay selections goes up.
These are just some of the betting features that you’ll find at bet365. As the seasons change, so do the featured sports.
BANKING WITH BET365
Making Account Deposits
When putting money into your new sportsbook account, bet365 gives customers a wide range of deposit options and generous maximum daily deposit amounts.
- Online bank transfer $10,000 max
- Credit and debit card $30,000 max
- PayPal $10,000 max
- PayNearMe $500 max
- PaySafeCard (prepaid) $1,000 max
- Skrill $38,000 max
All of these methods of deposit come with immediate processing. The minimum deposit amount, regardless of method, is $10.
One word of warning from bet365. Since many credit card companies treat payments to gambling companies as if they are cash advances, that $30,000 maximum deposit might come with a hefty extra fee. Always check with your issuing bank before using a credit card to make a deposit.
Making Account Withdrawals
The possible account withdrawal methods are almost as extensive, and also come with maximum payout amounts:
- Online bank transfer $10,000 max
- Credit and debit card $30,000 max
- PayPal $10,000 max
- Skrill $38,000 max
Online transfer and credit/debit cards will take 1 to 5 days to process. PayPal transfers happen within 24 hours, as do withdrawals with Skrill.
If you deposited with cash (through PayNearMe) or by using a prepaid card, withdrawals will be paid by personal check. Because of processing and postal time, this will be the slowest way to get paid.
Wagering Options at Bet365
Taking a quick look at the available sports and wager types, bet365 appears to be in line with most other sportsbooks in Colorado.
Available Sports
- Aussie Rules
- Basketball (NBA, WNBA, NCAA, and International)
- Baseball (International and MLB)
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Cycling
- Darts
- Football (NFL, NCAA)
- Golf
- Hockey
- MMA
- Motor Racing
- Rugby
- Snooker
- Soccer (From all around the world)
- Tennis
- Table Tennis
- Virtual Sports
But, and this is a big but, inside many of those sports, there are a host of other options available.
In soccer, as an example, there are more leagues to wager than you knew existed. Costa Rica Primera Division is taking your bets now. If you’re a regular watcher of Turkmenistan Yokary Liga, you can wager on that as well. You’ve got three levels of German soccer, Estonian soccer, and all leagues across the world.
The same kind of variety can be found for fans of international baseball, basketball, and rugby.
Available Wager Types
Along with the many sports that customers can wager, there is a wide variety of wager types that can be played.
There are the standard single-game bets:
Point Spread: The most basic of team sports bets – either take the points or give them. If you have ever placed a point spread bet, you undoubtedly have cheered wildly at free throws made in the final 10 seconds of a game.
Moneyline: This is a straight win/loss bet with no point spread. Instead, bookmakers give the favorite and underdog different odds of success. Win on the underdog and get a higher payout. Win on the favorite and make a little less.
Over/Under: Also known as a totals bet because you are betting on the total combined points scored in the game. Your bet is on whether the total points scored will go over or under the posted line.
And you can also play more specialty bets:
Parlays: Popular among players and bookmakers alike, these are small bets combined into one large bet, which, if it wins, pays off big. The payoff increases the larger the parlay, but to win, you must hit every leg of the parlay. Just one loss kills the entire bet.
Proposition Bets: These are individual or team bets inside an event. Prop bets may include the first team to score, which starting pitcher finishes with the most strikeouts in a game, or which player hits the most three-pointers. In Colorado, prop bets are only available when betting professional sports.
Futures Bets: These are bets on events that have yet to take place, like the winner of the World Series, Wimbledon, or next year’s Stanley Cup. The longer the odds, the bigger the potential payday.
In-Play Wagering: In-play wagering, also known as live wagering, are bets placed on events already in progress. The wagers one can play are broken into three main categories:
In-Game Events: Halftime score, when is the next score, which team gets the next first down, etc.
Player-Based: Which player will score next, strikeouts for the starting pitcher, which player will get the most rushing yards, etc.
Team-Based: Which team gets the most hits, most passing yards, most shots on goal, last team to score, etc.
In the upper right corner of the screen, there is an easy-to-find “Help” button. Click on that, and you are taken to a large menu of articles to assist in navigating through any issues you might encounter. The headers, with specific articles under each topic, are as follows:
- New Customers
- Account verification
- Deposits
- Responsible Gaming
- General
- Terms and Conditions
There is a search function that allows you to look for specific topics using keywords and titles. If you still can’t find the help you are looking for, bet365 offers email support and live internet chat 24 hours a day.
Anyone eligible to place sports wagers in Colorado can open an account and place bets with bet365. You simply need to be at least 21 years old and inside the Colorado state lines when placing a wager.
Since you are only allowed to legally make bets within the state you are physically in, your mobile device’s location software will verify your location. This software is already built into the bet365 app, and all customers need to do is make sure that location services and Wi-Fi are enabled on their device.
If you are using the bet365 website, you will be required to install a geolocation plugin on your computer. Once that has been downloaded, you will need to connect to Wi-Fi so that your location can be confirmed. Until that plugin is installed and enabled, you will not be able to place any wagers.
